Josh Satin

As one of the managing partners as well as the company’s Chief Investment Officer, Satin leads the firm’s multifamily investment strategy, which includes overseeing all acquisitions and asset management of the Gelt portfolio. Satin, who transitioned from a successful career in professional baseball to the real estate industry, has played a pivotal role in over $1.5 billion worth of acquisitions since joining the Gelt team in 2016. Before venturing into private equity, Satin enjoyed a successful baseball career as a two-time D1 college All-American player. After completing his political science degree at UC Berkeley in 2008, he was drafted by the New York Mets where he played 9 seasons of professional baseball including parts of four seasons in the major leagues. Josh lives in Brentwood with his wife and two children. In his free time, he likes to play golf and support various charities such as the Justin Turner Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
